Earthium AMA with 'The Oracle' (Wk36 2021)

Community involvement has been cemented as a core strategy of Earthium's from the outset - the platform itself has seemed to evolve with the input and discussions between the creators of Earthium and early adopters of other Metaverse platforms such as Earth 2 and After Earth, with the Earthium team interacting with users almost daily on its Discord server, whether it's to answer questions, ask for feedback, or share information relating to the latest releases or growth data.

AMA's (Ask Me Anything) are a popular way for platforms to interact with their users

Here, we share the latest community interaction from Earthium's founder, Frederic Dembak Le-Strat, who recently participated in an 'Ask Me Anything' (AMA) session online.

Question:

About Dojo, the business of Earthium's creator - it is dissolved, right?

Oracle:

Dojo is a group of around 10 companies, all named DojoXXX. DojoGroup was an old one, closed now, yes. But Dojo is the name of the whole, not of one of the companies. And the company shareholder in Alterneum (the company behind Earthium) is DojoFactory.

Question:

Yes but this one is also of Frederic Dembak Le-Strat ('Oracle'), right?

Oracle:

Yes. When you're an entrepreneur for around 23 years (first company created in 1998), some of your companies fail or are closed for various reasons. You will find my name also within some other ancient companies, like 4ème Millénaire (4th Millenium), my first web agency.

Question:

Who is in charge of the land section? So to speak, who is the 'Nathaniel' and who is the 'Ferran' of Earth 2's team, in Earthium?

Oracle:

As the lead, I'm in charge of Game Design and Community and i'm also involved in the technical part. Laurent is the lead developer, more back-office + infrastructure + Map. Christophe is in charge of the relation with Finance Innovation (the innovation cluster of Paris Stock Exchange) and the link with the Corporate in general. We just created with @Answer a new company, Extraverse, that will be in charge of all the graphic & design part (for Earthium as for other customers). Nice success story of an encounter in Earthium and business development with the members of the community. And I'm working on the same thing for Communication and Marketing.

Question:

traders2ba.com Is this also your company? Is it still active or dissolved? Christophe is also mentioned on it.

Oracle:

This is not a company but an NGO which helps transform professionals from the Finance sector into business angels. To be precise, this is a chapter of casualangels.fr, which is the NGO in charge of motivating high income professionals to become business angels and support innovation by investing in early stage companies.

Question:

Do you also plan to carry out a weekly or monthly AMA's?

Oracle:

I did one this Saturday with Korean Players on Kakaotalk, and am glad to do it anytime. But as I already spend a lot of time on [Discord] answering anything, the last two times I organised a live chat, there were almost no questions.

Question:

Do you have a recording of this last AMA with the Korean players on the platform?

Oracle:

I didn't think of recording it. I feel it will be more interesting to record live sessions than chat sessions.

Question:

[Did] the creation of Earthium arise from the creation of Earth 2? Regarding Earth 2 plans, what does Earthium intend to do in comparison to this other platform?

Oracle:

Yes and no. We were working on a concept of serious game in the business simulation field for several years now in Dojo. When I saw Earth 2 in December, I just thought it would be the perfect UX/UI for what we were already working on. The Virtual Land Trading is just UX/UI for what we are developing.

Question:

If I can get credits for free on the platform without paying $1, where does the funding for the sustainability of the platform come from? Can you give economic data of investment to date?

Oracle:

It's fun, because you're the second one to ask this question in 24 hours. In a freemium business model, there is no issue with 90% of the Players paying nothing (the free part of Freemium) as long as the paying Players pay enough for the whole to be sustainable (the Premium part of Freemium). I will release a more detailed report after the first quarter of operations, but we passed the bar of $300k of income in the first 2 months. Meaning $120k of investment in real-world assets to support the REKK.

Question:

There are many platforms practically the same, like After Earth and Next Earth ...I want to understand the success of Earthium against other platforms and why, if it becomes a reality.

Oracle:

Every platform has different vision, team, etc. They are all different, except for using Mapbox as a first layer.

Question:

What graphics engine do you plan to work with?

Oracle:

We're not trying to rush to a 3D/VR world, it's not our target. So we don't spend any time selecting this component for now, as I believe this field will see HUGE changes in the next quarters, with FB, Gaming companies (and even BMW lol) working on this. At some point, we will adopt the best available tool, which will be none of the currently existing tools or engines.

Question:

Is there any kind of partnership or sponsorship in place?

Oracle:

Finance Innovation, the innovation cluster of Paris Stock Exchange, Sadhana Forest and now, Extraverse.

Question:

So in terms of gameplay, when is Earthium planned to have a playable platform?

Oracle:

It's already beginning. We're releasing some parts of it progressively, with one of them this week.

Question:

How many treasure [chests] left on the -4 timezone?

Oracle:

4 or 5 found of 25.

Question:

Speaking of REKK, how much % does the company own?

Oracle:

The REKK is released with 10 Vaults. Each month, we count how many REKK were farmed by buying tiles in $. The same amount of REKK is distributed to the Parliament. The same amount of REKK is distributed to the Ambassadors. And the same amount of REKK is distributed to the Team.

Question:

Does REKK have anything to do with 'Get Rekt'? It is an expression used a lot in CSGO for example, to make fun of the competitor by saying that he is going to be surpassed.

Oracle:

Oops. No, and I didn't even know about this expression (sorry, I'm old). REKK comes from two things: 1). I own rekk.com, and it's not easy to get a 4 letter pronounceable domain name as a .com, and 2). Reality-backed Earthium Krypto-Kurrency.

Question:

Your answers are very interesting. I hope you will also develop a strategy for content creators and rewards through some bonus programs. It can be interesting for the growth of the platform as well.

Oracle:

That's the Ambassadors program. For August, each person labeled as Ambassador received 21000 REKK.

Question:

That's great! And what are the requirements to be?

Oracle:

Each month we can name a maximum of 40 Ambassadors:

12 Operations Ambassadors: Players having contributed to the current community, for example taking charge of validating some Properties Resources, or betatesting/helping to balance some new features (units, items, etc.).

12 Language Ambassadors: Players having contributed to our external communication for a specific country or language, for example by managing social networks, reviewing translations, connecting some other communities, etc.

12 Promotion Ambassadors: More classical, that means that Earthium has a full program dedicated to influencers on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok or other social networks, and to other kind of intermediaries able to make Earthium a huge success!

4 Special Ambassadors: Bonus Seats allocated for reasons that can vary from month to month. We need jokers, either to cover a contribution we didn’t think of, or to give a bonus to a Player having contributed in an extraordinary way.

To sum up very fast: Work your ass off for the community, receive a lot of REKK (21000 REKK on Pancakeswap is around $500, and in Earthium is counted as $1400)

Oh, complement to one of my previous answers: all the REKK not distributed to Ambassadors goes to a BlackOps secret funds, so in this sense, it defines the amount of REKK owned by the company itself (the part for the Team being for the Team members themselves, and not the company) ...I feel like I killed the discussion ...is $1400 for a month not enough to excite everybody here to make videos, launch a new media on Earthium?
